What Claude Can Access

The Clerx data your AI assistant can read through the connector, and what it cannot do.

The connector gives your AI assistant read-only access to five kinds of Clerx data. Nothing else is available to it.

DataWhat your assistant can seePermission
CallsDate and time, caller name and number, direction, length, reason for the call, summary, details the receptionist collected, what happened on the call (lead created, message taken, meeting booked), a link to the recording, and the transcript.clerx.calls:read
Messages left for staffWho called, their number, the message, who it was for, and whether staff archived it.clerx.calls:read
AppointmentsMeetings booked through Clerx: subject, start and end time, host, location, how it was booked, and the attendees' names, emails and phone numbers.clerx.calls:read
ChatsWebsite chat, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram conversations: the contact, the reason for the chat, a summary, what happened, and the transcript.clerx.chats:read
Plan usageCalls used, calls included, overage, calls remaining, and the subscription status for the current billing period.clerx.billing:read

Clerx also asks for your email address. It uses the email to match your sign-in to your Clerx account.

What it does not do

  • It reads nothing from your firm's CRM. The connector only reads data stored in Clerx.
  • It writes nothing anywhere. It does not create, edit or delete anything in Clerx or in any other system. It does not send messages, book or cancel meetings, or place calls.
  • It does not show invoices or payment details. Plan usage is counts and a status only.
  • It cannot reach another firm's data. Your firm is taken from your sign-in, never from what you type.

Who can use it

Clerx checks these on every request:

  • Your Clerx account is active and has dashboard access.
  • Your firm's Clerx account is active.
  • Clerx has turned the connector on for your firm.

If any check fails, the request is refused. If someone leaves your firm and you deactivate their Clerx account, their connector access stops right away.

Dates and times are in your firm's time zone.

What Clerx records

Clerx keeps a short audit record of each request: which tool ran, which user and firm, which AI app connected, when, and whether it worked. It does not record what you asked or what Clerx returned.
